Besides the fact that I was stranded in the Atlanta airport for over 36 hours, it was truly a wonderful trip. Chile is a beautiful country and it was fun to travel and see it with Kyle; through her eyes and through her words (as she was kind enough to be my interpreter most of the time).
When shooting destination weddings, there are often cultural differences; and there were a few really neat ones and I’ll be doing a separate blog post about one soon. One of the funniest things though was that Mallory’s family was all from Minnesota. So here I travel to the other side of the globe to meet the most kind and lovely people from 4 hours away from me!
One thing about Chilean weddings, they start late (we started around 6pm) and they go to the early morning hours. Kyle, being used to that, was not phased. I thought I might not make it but I’m excited to say that after we shot the wedding I made the drive back to Santiago without falling asleep (and seeing that I was driving, that’s a good thing)!
Thanks to everyone for letting me be part of this wonderful celebration!
