A deer in the headlights:
Let’s admit it, most of us just aren’t models. We don’t know what to do in front of a camera and we aren’t used to being the main focus (pardon the pun). I don’t want you to feel like you’ve been dropped into Hollywood and the paparazzi are all around.
Getting to know the lens:
Besides providing a great documentary of your love in its early days, engagement sessions provide a wonderful opportunity to start becoming comfortable in front of the camera. It gives you the chance to learn what it feels like to be the center of attention (because let’s face it, you are the center of attention on your wedding day – and that’s a good thing!).

Getting to know each other:
Engagement sessions also provide the opportunity for me to get to know you as a couple; how you interact, how you show your affection to one another. This helps to make the wedding day photos more natural because we will all be more comfortable with each other. I’ll be alongside of you the day of your wedding. Anything we can do to break the ice will be helpful to create the best images.
Not just for the frame:
Many couples use engagement session photos to create many different products; save the date cards, thank you cards, guestbooks for the big day. There are a variety of ideas for use before, during or after the wedding. I’d love to help you find something that fits your needs, and help create it if possible.
