You plan, you save, you prepare…
and then it finally arrives: your wedding day! It’s an amazing day – fast paced and exciting, filled with friends and powerful emotions – the culmination of months of hard work. You try to enjoy every moment, yet it can fly by so fast. You are stepping into a lifelong relationship and you will forever want to remember this day. This is where a good photographer and good photography come into play.
The photographer:
Anyone you hire to be part of your wedding day will interact with your family and friends and can help make the day more fun or can make it very tedious. You want to find someone who is personable, outgoing, friendly and professional. Meeting with a photographer, or speaking with them on the phone, is a good way to get to know a little about them. Not all personalities work well together and you want someone who fits with you.
The photography:
These photos will help you remember this day for the rest of your life. You want to find a style of photography that reflects who you are as a couple. There are many terms used to describe a photographers style. They can be helpful, but make sure to look beyond the words to the photos. How do you want to remember you day? Can you see yourself in their photos? Do they capture a moment in a way that speaks to you?
Spending money on photography:
Notice how I haven’t mentioned money yet? Let me ask you this: If your house was on fire and you could grab one or two things before you ran out the door, what would they be? Would one be your wedding photos? If so, then I encourage to not focus on the cost first, rather focus on who meets your criteria of personality and photographic style. So much money is spent for your wedding on things that are gone the next day. Your wedding photos will be cherished by you and your family for years to come and will help you remember some of those fleeting expenditures.

Why tell you all of this?
Did I write all of that just because I want you to hire me, specifically? No. I want you to find the right photographer for your wedding, regardless of who it is. I would be honored if my personality and my photography matches your needs. And I would be humbled to be able to serve you on your wedding day.
My Goal:
I believe that photography can speak and tell a story. I want to tell your story. It’s a story of love, of commitment, of joy found in the arms of another. I know what it feels like to be lost in love with someone. I want to bring those emotions out in my photography, creating a lasting memory which can be treasured for years to come.
Who am I?
I’ve been taking photos since high school, starting on an old camera my dad brought back from his military service time abroad (I shoot on much better equipment today!). I’m been doing photography professionally for over two years now. I’m a strange mix of a right and left brain thinker. I like to play music on anything that makes noise, including the plates at Target (they are bolted down yet ring so beautifully – my guitar sounds better, though). I enjoy the excitement and the energy that a wedding bring. I love God and my wife.
