alicia+ben’s waukesha engagement photography

Alicia and Ben are getting married in Iowa just over a month from now. While they were in town visiting some family, we headed out to Delafield and into Waukesha for some photos. They, like me, are morning people and so were willing to head out before sunrise to get some shots. We had a great time and even got to include Riley, their very energetic black lab. I’m excited for their wedding, which will be right on the Mississippi River. It’s going to be lovely!

sunrise photos? wow — the lighting is wonderful and the photos turned out so well. awesome work, andy! ps — i wish i could get up before sunrise – i think i’ve only seen it 3 times in my life (always at an airport to catch a plane!).

[...] Well, the wedding season is in full gear (which explains my delay in updating the blog!) It started this year in Dubuque, Iowa with Alicia+Ben’s wedding. It was going to be an outdoor wedding, but thanks to some rain (and boy did it rain) we headed inside for the main event. Everyone adjusted well and the day went beautifully. Alicia+Ben had opted to see each other beforehand for photos (which I recommend for many reasons!) and we were able to beat the rain for some wonderful portraits outside – including some with their dog Riley (you might remember him from their engagement session).
