celebrating jessica on her birthday

We celebrated Jessica’s birthday a few weeks ago with a lot of color! First we dyed Easter Eggs with food coloring. We used some brown eggs we get from friends and they had such a dark, rich color. Jessica has wanted to do this for a few years so what better than to do it on her birthday!

We then went with some friends to Splash Studio, a new painting bar in Milwaukee’s Third Ward. They have an artist walk you through the process of how to paint a specific painting. We chose to paint a sunset painting but recently they did a zombie! They have a bunch of options and styles. Check out their website for the schedule and then go check it out. It’s a blast and you do not have to be a painter (I’m not!). One of our friends did a very impressionistic version of the painting, so you don’t even have to do it exactly as they teach it. I highly recommend you give it a go!

leaving canada…

In a few minutes I’m catching a bus to the airport. I am leaving my time in Canada so full of gratefulness that it literally brings tears to my eyes and overwhelms me. The beauty of Banff and the people I have spent my time with is incredible. I have been on a broken down bus and on top of a mountain and in each found adventure with new friends. I have been surrounded by amazing people who are humble and authentic. I’ve caught up with old friends and made many new ones. Thank you to every one of you. Remember: #lovewhatyoudo
