I had a few minutes after a photo shoot the other day to sit and enjoy the amazing day. I grabbed some video of the clouds dancing above me (need to edit those still) and I grabbed my fisheye lens to try to capture everything I could in one shot.
I could have laid there all day…

Took pictures! Actually, I put my camera down for most of the weekend to spend time with my lovely wife, a good book, and nature. We have had some absolutely amazing weather the past few days and Jess and I took every advantage of it we could. Long walks, kayaking on three lakes, laying on a dock looking up at the stars – it was a truly beautiful weekend.
Here’s to a beautiful fall! May you get every chance to enjoy it!

Jess and I are heading to Arizona this week. I purchased a wide angle lens (Sigma 10-20) so that I can get some fun desert landscapes. Here’s a photo from our backyard trees using the wide angle. I just love the perspective these lenses can give (I just need to figure out how to use it well!)

Since I’ve been young, I have always loved astronomy. I do hope they invent a cheap way to fly to space in my life, because I would take that opportunity in a heartbeat!
