Photography is about being present and aware. It’s life experienced and remembered. Real emotions and real connections. That’s what I look for in the viewfinder of my camera. I feel honored to be able to call it my full time job.
I think a great portrait can find the essence of someone if they are willing to be vulnerable and open. I work best with people who are laid back and willing to be open and real about who they are, with or without a camera being there.
I’m married to an amazing woman who supports me and loves me in untold ways. I’m forever grateful for her love. And amazed by her beauty inside and out.
I think the unexamined life is not worth living. I only get one shot at it and I want to enjoy the beauty as I recognize the brevity of it.
I have a few awards from the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers and four honorable mentions from the IPPAWARDS – iPhone Photography Awards.
I walked across Wisconsin to raise money for clean water wells in 2012. And in 2013, I’ll be going to Guatemala to help drill a well.
I love conversation, so hit me up if you’d like a cup of tea or coffee!
