The wedding season is officially in full gear and first up was the energetic wedding of Julia+Scott. Between the rain and the suprise guest at the end of the night (Bucky!) this day was all about staying on your toes. I must say, I have never seen a dance floor so packed. Not only props to the great guys at Sound by Design, but kudos to Julia+Scott’s families for being such dancers! At one point there was a conga line going that was missing maybe 5 people from the room (and I was one of them!).
Blessings to you both, Julia+Scott, as you head off across the country to start the next chapter of your lives. I’m so thankful to have been part of your story!
celebrating jessica on her birthday

We celebrated Jessica’s birthday a few weeks ago with a lot of color! First we dyed Easter Eggs with food coloring. We used some brown eggs we get from friends and they had such a dark, rich color. Jessica has wanted to do this for a few years so what better than to do it on her birthday!
We then went with some friends to Splash Studio, a new painting bar in Milwaukee’s Third Ward. They have an artist walk you through the process of how to paint a specific painting. We chose to paint a sunset painting but recently they did a zombie! They have a bunch of options and styles. Check out their website for the schedule and then go check it out. It’s a blast and you do not have to be a painter (I’m not!). One of our friends did a very impressionistic version of the painting, so you don’t even have to do it exactly as they teach it. I highly recommend you give it a go!
