sam+tyler's engagement session at milwaukee's grant park

I love Milwaukee’s Grant Park. For some reason it reminds me of the west coast (which I love dearly). So when Sam+Tyler wanted to shoot their engagement photos there, I was psyched!
Now, don’t let these mild-manner faces fool you. These two are two tough cookies, ready to take on anything. By the end of the session they were shimmying out on a log over a river. They climbed down muddle hills (Sam in heels!) and got their feet wet in some little streams. Disclaimer to potential clients: I don’t ask you do to anything you don’t want to do! These two were totally up for a little adventure. Nothing seems to phase them. Perhaps it’s because they are both West Point grads and are officers serving their country. Perhaps it’s that they seem to be at such peace in each other’s presence. Whatever it might be, they are fun to shoot and hang out with!

rachel+scott’s cedarburg engagement session

I headed up to Cedarburg to shoot Rachel+Scott for their engagement session. They live up that way and their wedding this fall will be at Whistling Straits; a beautiful wedding location deserves a beautiful engagement session location as well and Cedarburg never disapoints.
We started on the bike path near their house with Anya, their sweet Samoyed. After walking to a nearby school we headed into downtown and eventually ended up at the Cedar Creek Settlement, which is fun for shooting engagements, wine tasting, shopping and crepes! Jess and I love the Cream and Crepe Cafe and try to hit it when we’re in the area.
Rachel+Scott are really cute together. They know how to make each other laugh and I’ve been smiling this whole time editing their photos, thinking back on the session and their humor. I’m really looking forward to your wedding you guys!
